Another car has crashed on Pacific Coast Highway two blocks east of Nobu, at almost exactly the same location where a chef from Nobu was killed the previous weekend. Details are still coming in, but it does not appear that any fatalities were involved this time.
This crash also involved a vehicle heading east that likely hit a parked car. The eastbound vehicle was a box truck — a delivery truck — and according to one witness it appears almost completely smashed in. The witness tells us injuries may have been involved. The L.A. County Fire Department was on scene for more than an hour.
The circumstances are nearly identical to the crash the previous weekend that killed a 51-year-old chef from Nobu. That earlier crash is still under investigation, and no charges have been filed against the young driver involved.
Pacific Coast Highway is jammed eastbound just east of Nobu, with the two right lanes affected.
