Governor's race a five-way tossup, polls show
Becerra leads Steyer and Hilton by a point in a new KTLA/Emerson poll, with Porter and Bianco trailing.

The latest KTLA Emerson College poll shows a very tight gubernatorial race, with Democrat Xavier Becerra at 20 percent and Tom Steyer at 19 percent.
Republican Steve Hilton is at 18 percent. Katie Porter is at 13 percent. And Chad Bianco is at 12 percent.
But a poll taken for the Democratic Party shows Becerra and Hilton tied at 20 percent, with the others way behind.
The key takeaway: right now it is still a complete tossup, but it looks like the chances of a minority Republican 1-2 finish are fading.
