Malibu Canyon Road is not available as a route all the way to the 101 freeway Monday morning. Once drivers reach Mulholland Highway, the road is closed because of a broken water main above Mulholland.
Southbound traffic has been turning around and heading back to the 101 at Lost Hills Road. The closure will be in effect all day, according to the Las Virgenes Municipal Water District.
On Pacific Coast Highway, eastbound traffic is very heavy Monday morning, with slow-and-go conditions and a possible lane closure. Conditions have improved in the past few minutes.
Right now there is a big blob of traffic between Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Sunset Boulevard moving eastbound at about 13 miles an hour. Things improve after Sunset, and the 10 freeway is clear. No other major problems to report.
