One person was killed Saturday morning when an SUV driven by a 16-year-old boy drifted into the parking lane on Pacific Coast Highway at Billionaire's Beach.

A restaurant worker was asleep, waiting for his shift to start, when his car was demolished from behind.

Surveillance tape reportedly shows the SUV traveling at an estimated 50 to 70 miles per hour before it swerved across the fog line and hit the passenger car.

By midmorning, one lane of eastbound traffic was getting through by using the center median, as directed by deputies.

There is no official word if the young male driver will be arrested, or where he is from.
