PCH lane closures return Tuesday after Labor Day pause

Caltrans will resume closing an eastbound PCH lane near Big Rock to protect the crumbling cliff at Tuna Beach.

By Hans Laetz

Due to the Labor Day holiday, there will be no lane closures on Pacific Coast Highway or Topanga Canyon Boulevard through midnight Monday night.

Lane closures resume Tuesday.

The state is closing one eastbound lane, heading towards Santa Monica, about a quarter mile past Big Rock.

They are working to protect the crumbling ocean cliff at the east end of Tuna Beach.

They get the long weekend off, but will be back in the right lane Tuesday morning.
