Santa Monica College is going to offer a second four-year degree program — a Bachelor of Science degree in cloud computing.
There's a strong demand for software developers and cloud-related occupations in the L.A. region's rapidly growing tech sector.
SMC officials say the median annual earnings for peope with BS degrees in cloud computing exceeds $150,000 a year.
The new program will accept incoming third-year students as transfer students. The courses will be offered online, in person, and in hybrid options. The cost for a four-year BS in cloud computing is only $10,000 for a California resident.
We should point out Santa Monica College is a financial underwriter of KBUU.
