Caltrans shifts Rattner Beach PCH work to overnight
Starting Monday night, one lane in each direction on PCH will close from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for five nights of $15 million revetment work.

Caltrans has shifted its plans for daytime lane closures on PCH east of Malibu. They plan to move the work to overnight.
Starting at 9 p.m. Monday and extending through 5 a.m. for five nights, PCH will see one lane closed in each direction.
At Rattner Beach, the state plans to install a trench between the ocean and the highway, lay down a geosynthetic mat, and then dump large rocks on it. This will extend the revetment wall — the rock wall — along nearly all of Rattner Beach. The road will be repaved above the rocks.
Cost for all this: $15 million.
