Camarillo teens arrested after road rage assault with rifle
License plate readers led Ventura County deputies to an 18-year-old and his 17-year-old girlfriend after a motorcyclist was struck on Las Posas Road.

An 18-year-old man from Camarillo and his 17-year-old girlfriend have wrecked their young lives by pointing an assault rifle at a motorcyclist during a road rage incident on Las Posas Road. That happened Thursday of last week in the fields west of Malibu near Camarillo.
Ventura County Sheriff's deputies say a witness saw a man drive his Mercedes toward the motorcyclist and then hit him during the road rage incident. The Mercedes sped off, but it was tracked by the Camarillo automated license plate reader system. The cameras tracked the car to the Jack in the Box restaurant in the center of town.
In the back seat: an assault weapon and ammunition. In the front seat: an 18-year-old man and his 17-year-old girlfriend. They were both arrested.
