There is no update Monday morning on the evacuations of 31 houses at La Chusa Beach. Those people are three weeks into an emergency repair project that's supposed to take a total of five weeks.
That's the rough estimate made by the city of Malibu back on Sept. 7, when Sea Level Drive, the private street in front of Nicholas Cage's house, collapsed.
The city of Malibu is monitoring the situation. The Homeowners Association is doing repairs. They're not publicly speaking.
The MRCA meanwhile has reopened one of the three pathways down to the beach — this one is on Broad Beach Road at Bunny Lane.
