Malibu Film Society hosts 'Hedwig' 25th anniversary — not for kids

A correction on the second big event this weekend: Hedwig and the Angry Inch, presented Saturday by the Malibu Film Society, is NOT a movie for kids. It is rated R.
The Malibu Film Society will present the 25th anniversary screening at the Arlene and Dick Van Dyke Theater at Malibu High School, featuring a live acoustic performance by writer, director and star John Cameron Mitchell.
Doors open at 1 p.m. with a costume contest — again, not for kids — followed by an up-close appearance by the Tony Award winner and Golden Globe nominee. Show time is 1 p.m. Saturday.
