Malibu household hazardous waste collection rescheduled to Saturday

Free drop-off for e-waste, hazardous materials, and document shredding runs 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Malibu City Hall.

After getting rained out, the City of Malibu's household hazardous waste and e-waste collection has been rescheduled to Saturday.

Document shredding and recycling will also be offered for free Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Malibu City Hall. People can put their household hazardous waste in bags and their electronic waste in their cars, and crews will take it out for you.

Proper disposal keeps this stuff out of landfills and protects our soils and water. A word to the wise: if you have e-waste like an old TV or a computer, get there early. E-waste drop-off capacity is limited, and when the trucks pull out, they won't take your computers or other electronic junk.
