Point Dume beach lot access road closed five days next week Play

The access road to the beach parking lot at Point Dume will be closed for five days of construction next Monday through Friday. It's daytime only, from 8 to 3. A new storm drain will be installed beneath the road. Access to the Sunset restaurant and Birdview will not be affected.

And Southern California Edison crews are working on putting power lines underground on Latigo Canyon Road. Some 3.2 miles of power lines will be put underground within city limits. To the north, work will also be done. This part of the SCE undergrounding project will take 8 to 10 months to complete.
