New Camarillo Costco opens Oct. 30, cheap gas gets closer
The new warehouse is 26 miles up the coast from Trancas and will offer 32 gas nozzles — something the Westlake Village store lacks.

Attention bargain hunters: the brand new Costco up the road in Camarillo opens Oct. 30. It will be a mile west of the Home Depot, just north of Camarillo Airport off Las Posas Road.
This may not be the closest Costco to Malibu, but it may be the most pleasant drive from Trancas. The new Costco is 26 miles up the coast — about a 35-minute drive.
The Costco over the hill in Westlake Village off Lindero Canyon Road is five miles closer, a 26-mile drive, but the new Costco lets you drive up the coast to get there instead of driving through Agoura Hills.
The new location will be the closest Costco gas station to Zuma Beach, with 32 gas nozzles available. The Costco over the hill in Westlake Village does not sell gas; the new one up the coast in Camarillo does.
And those of us with electric cars and trucks get to wave as we drive by.
