Power is still coming back on on Point Dume as of 9 a.m. Monday. Full restoration is estimated by Southern California Edison to be by 11 a.m.
306 customer accounts lost power on Point Dume this morning.
According to Southern California Edison's automated equipment, the electricity failed at 10:39 p.m. Sunday. The power flashed on and off just before 2 a.m.
Power was off for about a half hour overnight at Malibu Elementary School on Fernhill Drive. Classes are not affected Monday.
And we do not know if this is related, but L.A. County Fire was dispatched to a report of a pole fire on Birdview Avenue. That fire incident was reported at 1:55 a.m. A fire truck from the Point Dume station was there for just 21 minutes.
At about that same time, one Point Dume resident says her power had just come back on when it went off again.
Still we have no word from SCE as to what is happening. But they do expect to have all of the power up by 11 a.m.
