Caltrans plans online workshop on PCH safety project
The project would add a sidewalk and bike lanes on 4,200 feet of PCH between Las Flores and Carbon Canyon.

Caltrans has scheduled another workshop for the public to learn about the proposed short little Caltrans Safety Improvement Project planned for Pacific Coast Highway. They'll also take public comment.
We'll remind you that Caltrans plans to install a sidewalk and bike lanes along about 4,200 feet of PCH — that's 4,200 feet out of the 27 miles of PCH between Santa Monica and the end of Malibu. Only the stretch of PCH between Las Flores Canyon Road and Carbon Canyon Road is covered — that's about five blocks.
Caltrans envisions squeezing in potential improvements for pedestrians like a sidewalk, also a bike lane or two, transit use improvements, and improvements for motorists as well.
The public hearing will be held on computers only Wednesday at 1 p.m. The link to the Microsoft Teams page is available at the city's website and on our website at Malibu.fm.
